DJ WHO is Chip Watkins, one of Baltimore's current crop of outstanding
and influential DJ's who has earned national respect. Chip has brought
his unique DJ'ing style of techno, house, and funk fusion to thousands
of devoted fans throughout the USA. His unusual blend of grooves
probably stems from the fact that he cites influences ranging from indie
rock to the old school freestyle house of New York City.
"Attack of the Deep Dark Dubs" is DJ WHO's debut release, with four
tracks that reflect his diverse musical styles. Not quite trance, not
quite funk, not quite techno or house, "Attack..." (and Defective
Records) aims to define a genre that melts the boundaries imposed by
current dance music.
