Disclaimer: I'm not responible for anything that might go wrong on your PC, with your setup or with yourself. Purpose: With this patch I want to make it possible to Logic users to remote control the main automation facilities of Logic 5.51 by a third party Peavey PC1600x controller. Installation: 1.Load the syx-file Logic Control.syx to your PC1600X. (This can be done by the PC1600X Editor). 2.Start Logic 5.51. Go to optionsā preferencesācontrol surfaces 3.On the PC1600x press button 1, 2, 3 of the Logic Handshake preset. In the control surfaces setupscreen a Logic Control driver icon will appear. If this doesn't work copy Logic Control Surfaces Preferences.PRF C:\Program Files\emagic\Logic 5\Control Surface Plug-ins 5.5.1. 4. (Optional) If you posses one of the Creamware SFP cards use Lctrl.pro or if you are able to split the midi signal likewise (see screenshot: SFP printscrn.jpg), making it appear to Logic that the midi signal is coming from 2 different midi ports, route system exclusive messages to the second midi port and press button 4, 5, 6 of the Logic Handshake preset. In the control surfaces setupscreen a Logic Control XT driver icon will appear. Check the midi port settings in the parameterbox. Import the environment from Lctrl.lso. 5. Read the manual of the Logic Control!!! http://www.emagic.de/media/products/content/hw/control/LogicControl_EN.pdf Some hints: If nothing happens look in the control surfaces setup and see if the Midi In is using the driver port in use by the PC1600x. This can be found in the parameterbox. If not, pick the right one. This is also the place to see what parameter you are actually changing. The Flip button allows you to toggles between the normal fader function Volume or duplicates whatever is assigned to the V-pots. The Assign …. (Track\Send\EQ\Plugin\Instr) buttons found in several presets switch between channelstrip and normal assignment. Fader 9-16 carry midi messages that aren't original for Logic Control. They are only usefull if you fool Logic by splitting these messages (Channel #>=9) transform them back to messages that are readable for the Logic Control port driver by subtrackting 8 from the channel value in the transformer)They all carry a midi channel# that's 8 higher. I route them by a midi filter to an other midi in of Logic. There I subtract 8 from the midichannel# by a transformer. Then I lead the midichannel to a midi out port and then back into Logic. This input should be used for the Logic Control XT driver. / original midimessagesāLogicāLogic Control driver midi in (parameterbox) PC1600xāmidi filter< \ +8 midi messagesāLogicātransformer -8ā out portāin portāLogicā Logic Control XT driver midi in (parameterbox) Have fun, Marc toaster@freeler.nl
